App Developer

Role summary The Mobile Application Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining secure Android and iOS mobile applications for customers and internal staff. The successful candidate will work closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, business teams, and external vendors to build high-quality digital financial solutions integrated with the institution's Core Banking System (CBS). This role requires a motivated and innovative software developer with strong expertise in cross-platform mobile development, secure application design, and enterprise system integration. Duties and responsibilities Key Responsibilities Mobile Application Development Design, develop, test, and maintain Android and iOS mobile applications using Flutter (preferred) or React Native . Develop clean, maintainable, scalable, and well-documented code following industry best practices. Build reusable components and modern user interfaces for multiple mobile devices. Digital Financial Services Develop mobile applications supporting: Digital Customer Onboarding Mobile Banking Loan Applications Savings and Deposit Services Loan Repayments Account Balance Inquiry Mini Statements Customer Profile Management Push Notifications Digital KYC Biometric Authentication QR Code Services Staff Mobile Applications Develop applications for field and branch operations, including: Client Registration Loan Origination Loan Collection Group Lending GPS Location Capture Digital Document Upload Offline Data Collection Synchronization with Core Banking System System Integration Integrate mobile applications with enterprise backend services using secure RESTful APIs. Work closely with backend developers to integrate Django REST APIs and Core Banking System services. Integrate SMS gateways, OTP services, push notifications, payment gateways, and third-party financial services. Security Implement secure mobile application practices including: Biometric Authentication Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Secure Session Management Data Encryption (At Rest and In Transit) Certificate Pinning Secure Local Storage OWASP Mobile Security Best Practices Offline Capability Develop offline-first mobile applications capable of operating in low-connectivity environments. Design efficient synchronization mechanisms between mobile devices and backend systems. UI/UX Convert Figma or Adobe XD designs into responsive, intuitive, and accessible mobile interfaces. Ensure excellent user experience across Android and iOS platforms. Quality Assurance Write unit, integration, and functional tests. Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Troubleshoot and resolve software defects. Deployment & Maintenance Publish and maintain applications on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Manage application versioning and release cycles. Monitor application performance and resolve production issues. Documentation Prepare and maintain: Technical Documentation Source Code Documentation API Documentation Deployment Guides User Manuals Administrator Guides Collaboration Work closely with Product Owners, Business Units, Operations, Information Security, and Infrastructure teams. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives. Continuous Improvement Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve digital financial services. Job requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Master's degree is an advantage. Professional certifications in Mobile Development or Cloud Technologies will be considered an asset. Proven experience developing production-grade Android and iOS applications. At least 2–3 published applications available on Google Play Store and/or Apple App Store.
