Audit Senior Associate

Role summary The Audit Senior Associate is responsible for executing audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries in Afghanistan, with a particular focus on banking, financial services, and microfinance institutions (MFIs) . This is a senior individual contributor role for experienced auditors who can work independently, handle complex audit assignments, and produce high-quality work with minimal supervision. Duties and responsibilities Key Responsibilities Audit Execution • Perform audit engagements in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and Moore Afghanistan's methodology • Execute audit procedures including risk assessment, control evaluation, and substantive testing • Take ownership of complex audit sections and complete them independently • Perform financial analysis, substantive testing, and verification of financial records • Evaluate client internal controls and perform audit tests • Prepare high-quality audit working papers and documentation • Identify and communicate audit findings to the engagement manager Client Interaction • Interact with clients to ensure efficient information flow • Build and maintain professional relationships with client personnel • Address client queries and escalate complex issues to the engagement manager • Represent Moore Afghanistan professionally at client sites Technical Excellence • Apply knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA) • Research and analyze accounting and audit-related issues • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the banking and financial services sector in Afghanistan Job requirements Qualifications and Experience Professional Qualification • ACCA qualified • CA • CPA Candidates with any of the above professional certifications are eligible to apply.
