Electrician

Role summary Purpose The Electrician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring reliable power supply and compliance with electrical safety standards. Duties and responsibilities Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, lighting, and distribution systems. Operate and maintain solar PV systems , battery banks, and charge controllers. Install, configure, and troubleshoot various types of inverters (hybrid, on-grid, off-grid, pure sine wave, etc.). Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot diesel generators and ATS systems. Work with single-phase and three-phase electrical systems. Diagnose and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment. Conduct electrical load assessments and ensure proper matching of power demand with available resources. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Maintain maintenance records and prepare technical reports. Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and use of PPE. Job requirements Qualifications & Experience Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance. Proven experience with solar systems, generators, inverters, UPS systems, and electrical distribution networks . Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting, load calculations, and power management. Skills Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics. Good communication and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and respond to emergency electrical issues.
