Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Protection Case Management Project Manager: Act as the primary focal point for Persons with Specific Needs (PSN) and Protection Case Management (PCM) activities. Oversee the identification, assessment, and follow-up of PSN cases, ensuring timely and appropriate assistance. Develop individual case plans in collaboration with beneficiaries, ensuring that the best interests of the individual are prioritized. Develop and maintain referral pathways for PCM cases requiring specialized services (e.g., cash assistance, medical care, legal aid, and psychosocial support). Advocate for the needs of vulnerable individuals, including women, children, persons with disabilities, and older persons, at both community and organizational levels. Build the capacity of the PCM network, including stakeholders and partner organizations, to enhance case management processes and coordination. Train and mentor field staff and network members on PSN/PCM identification, case management principles, and referral mechanisms. Provide regular updates, analysis, and reports on PSN/PCM activities to the Protection Officer. Act as a liaison between ARAA and other protection actors, local authorities, and service providers to strengthen the PSN/PCM response. Promote effective collaboration among agencies within the PSN/PCM network to ensure a unified approach to protection concerns. Demonstrate the ability to work with KOBO and online case management systems. Willingness to travel extensively. The position will cover Kabul Province (Kabul City, Qarabagh, Bagrami, Musahi, Paghman, and Deh Sabz), as well as Logar Province (Pul-e-Alam, Mohammad Agha, and Baraki Barak), and Parwan and Kapisa Provinces will be covered remotely in cases of heightened protection risks. Job Requirements · bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Law, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). · Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in case management or protection programming in humanitarian settings. · Experience working with PSN cases, including persons with disabilities, elderly individuals, and survivors of abuse, is an advantage. · Familiarity with national and international protection standards, including protection guidelines. · Proficiency in using case management tools and reporting systems. · Fluent in Dari and Pashto. Proficiency in English is highly desirable. · Strong knowledge of computer and using KOBO and online case management system · Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle complex cases effectively. · Empathy and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to build trust and rapport with vulnerable populations. · Commitment to ARAA and protection principles, including confidentiality and respect for beneficiary dignity. · ARAA is fully committed to the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH).
