Role summary
The Liaison Officer is responsible for maintaining effective communication and coordination between the company and external stakeholders, including government ministries, regulatory authorities, customs offices, healthcare institutions, suppliers, and other relevant organizations. The role ensures the timely processing of licenses, permits, registrations, approvals, and official documentation while supporting the company's regulatory and administrative requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
Government and Regulatory Liaison Act as the primary point of contact with government ministries, regulatory authorities, customs authorities, municipalities, and other public institutions. Coordinate the submission and follow-up of applications for pharmaceutical registrations, import permits, business licenses, and other regulatory approvals. Ensure timely renewal of company licenses, permits, certificates, and registrations. Maintain effective relationships with relevant government officials and regulatory bodies. Documentation and Compliance Prepare, submit, and track official correspondence and regulatory documentation. Ensure all company documents required for regulatory compliance remain valid and up to date. Maintain organized records of licenses, permits, approvals, and official communications. Monitor changes in applicable laws, regulations, and administrative procedures and inform management accordingly. Customs and Import Coordination Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics providers to facilitate the clearance of imported pharmaceutical products. Assist in resolving customs and import-related issues to minimize delays. Ensure import documentation is complete and compliant with applicable regulations. Stakeholder Coordination Maintain professional relationships with hospitals, healthcare institutions, suppliers, distributors, and other business partners. Coordinate official meetings, appointments, and document submissions with external organizations. Represent the company in official meetings when authorized by management. Administrative Support Assist management in obtaining approvals, certifications, and official documents. Prepare reports on regulatory submissions, approvals, and pending matters. Support company departments by coordinating external administrative processes. Communication Deliver and collect official documents from government offices and external organizations. Ensure timely follow-up on applications, approvals, and correspondence. Maintain confidentiality of company information and official documents.
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Pharmacy, Law, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in government liaison, regulatory affairs, administration, or a similar role. Experience working with pharmaceutical regulatory authorities and government institutions is preferred.
