Role summary
The Sales Manager – Provincial & Kabul is responsible for planning, leading, and managing pharmaceutical sales operations across Kabul and assigned provincial territories. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, expanding market share, developing customer relationships, managing sales representatives, and ensuring the effective implementation of the company's sales and marketing strategies.
Duties and responsibilities
Sales Management Develop and implement sales plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Monitor sales performance across Kabul and provincial territories and take corrective actions where necessary. Identify new business opportunities and expand product penetration in existing and new markets. Ensure effective product availability and market coverage. Team Leadership Lead, supervise, coach, and motivate Medical Representatives and Sales Representatives. Set individual sales targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Conduct regular field visits, joint customer calls, and performance reviews. Identify training needs and support the professional development of the sales team. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, wholesalers, distributors, and retail pharmacies. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through regular engagement and timely issue resolution. Strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and strategic healthcare partners. Business Development Identify opportunities for expanding product distribution and market share. Support new product launches and promotional campaigns. Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends and recommend appropriate strategies. Sales Operations Prepare sales forecasts and territory plans. Ensure effective implementation of sales and promotional activities. Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Finance departments to maintain adequate product availability and support timely collections. Monitor inventory levels with distributors and key customers to prevent stock shortages or overstocking. Reporting and Analysis Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports. Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback. Present recommendations to improve sales effectiveness and operational efficiency. Compliance Ensure all promotional and sales activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and applicable pharmaceutical regulations. Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.
Job requirements
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage. Minimum of 5–8 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience managing sales teams across Kabul and provincial markets is preferred.
