Description
Job Summary Responsibilities Ø Implement mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities according to the project work plan. Ø Integrate mental health services into primary healthcare facilities. Ø Ensure quality and timely delivery of mental health services. Ø Support the establishment of referral pathways for specialized mental health care. Ø Provide technical guidance to healthcare workers on mental health case management. Ø Support screening, assessment, diagnosis, and follow-up of common mental health disorders. Ø Promote the use of mhGAP Intervention Guide. Ø Monitor appropriate management of severe mental illness and epilepsy where applicable. Ø Ensure confidentiality and ethical management of patient information. Ø Conduct supportive supervision and provide on-the-job coaching. Ø Collect, verify, and analyze MHPSS data. Ø Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Ø Monitor project indicators and recommend improvements. Ø Strong knowledge of MHPSS programming. Ø Knowledge of mhGAP, Sphere Standards, and IASC MHPSS Guidelines. Ø Attend all relevant meeting, workshops that conducted at the provincial level. Ø Do any other task assigned by the line supervisor. Qualifications: Ø Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Public Health, or a related field. Ø Minimum 3 years of experience in mental health or psychosocial support programs. Ø Excellent communication and counseling skills. Ø Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and to work effectively with staff of HFs Ø Be proactive and take initiatives and work independently. Ø Ability to prioritize tasks, handle tasks simultaneously, and to work under pressure. Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse: · Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within MMRCA and amongst beneficiaries served by MMRCA. Safeguarding: · It is all staff’s shared responsibility and obligation to safeguard and protect populations with whom we work, including adults who may be particularly vulnerable and children. This includes safeguarding from the following conduct by our staff or partners: sexual exploitation and abuse; exploitation, neglect, or abuse of children and adults at risk; and any form of trafficking in persons. Job Requirements MD/MPH (From recognized university). Fluent in Dari and Pashtu and Required Knowledge of English. At least 3 -years full time experience of working in health projects/HER/SAFE.
