Role summary The Responsibility of the MEMA financing Expert is developing and managing the MEMA financing portfolio within OXUS Afghanistan Operational Area. Duties and responsibilities Specific Responsibilities: 1. Find potential clients and Applicants by using various types of marketing techniques and tools. 2. Illuminates OXUS Afghanistan financing process to potential Applicant and assess clients’ suitability for OXUS Afghanistan MEMA Financing. 3. Conduct risk assessment from the businesses by collecting detailed information on each client through meetings and filed visits including home, business, suppliers, customers , community and do financing appraisal financial analysis, repayment capacity, duration of financing, collateral, etc. 4. Collect and Updates required data in Abacus and Prepares financing Appraisal report for financing committee meeting plus Collects and/or fills the documents for guarantees. 5. Presents the financing at the financing committee meeting and informs the client of the financing committee’s decision. 6. Periodically check and ensure the financing is utilized for the purpose outlined in the business plan. 7. Monitor the financings including periodical site visits and checks that repayments are made based on schedule. 8. Reports clients to his supervisor or Branch Manager when repayments are late and contacts clients and places immediate financing repayment. 9. Ensure full compliance and obedience with OXUS Afghanistan relevant policies and procedures; and full alignment with the audit and Risk Departments recommendations. Job requirements Education: High School graduated preference for Bachelor Degree Work Experience: Prior experience in Microfinance sector and Banks as Financing Expert. Skills: Basic spoken and written English, strong spoken and written in local languages ( Dari and Pushtu), familiarity with computer and strong negotiating and good communication skills.
