Job Summary 1. Purpose of the Position The M&E Officer is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure effective tracking of project activities, outputs, and outcomes. The role supports evidence-based decision-making, promotes accountability, and ensures compliance with donor and organizational standards. Job Requirements 2. Key Responsibilities Monitoring & Evaluation Duties · Develop and implement project monitoring and evaluation frameworks, plans, and tools. · Collect, verify, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from field activities. · Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites and provide feedback to staff. · Ensure data quality, accuracy, and timely reporting. · Support preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. · Document lessons learned, best practices, and success stories. · Provide technical support and capacity building to project staff on M&E practices. · Maintain organized filing systems for M&E data and reports. · Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and safeguarding standards. Coordination & Communication · Work closely with program teams to integrate M&E into project planning and implementation. · Support project management in decision-making through evidence-based recommendations. · Coordinate with external stakeholders, partners, and donors on M&E matters when required. · Contribute to organizational learning and knowledge management initiatives. 3. Reporting Line · Reports directly to Program/Project Manager · Provides technical input to senior management and donor reporting units 4. Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Administration, or related field. · Minimum 3–5 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation with NGOs/INGOs. · Strong knowledge of M&E methodologies, tools, and data management systems. · Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills. · Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis software. · Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. 5. PSEA The ARSDO maintains a strict policy of zero tolerance towards sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA). All employees are required to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and respect. Any violation of these principles will be subject to disciplinary action, and staff are encouraged to report concerns through established reporting channels.
