Job Summary The Liaison Officer is responsible for maintaining effective communication and coordination between the organization, government authorities, local stakeholders, partners, community representatives, and other relevant institutions. The position supports smooth implementation of projects by facilitating communication, obtaining necessary approvals, resolving coordination issues, and ensuring that organizational activities comply with applicable requirements. Establish and maintain professional relationships with relevant government authorities, local institutions, community representatives, partners, and other stakeholders. Facilitate communication and coordination between the organization and external stakeholders. Support the Project Manager and senior management in obtaining required permissions, approvals, letters, and official documentation. Represent the organization in meetings with government offices, partners, and other stakeholders when delegated. Coordinate official visits, meetings, workshops, and other project-related activities with relevant authorities. Monitor changes in government procedures, administrative requirements, and local regulations that may affect project implementation. Provide timely updates to management regarding stakeholder issues, government requirements, and coordination matters. Follow up on pending requests, approvals, correspondence, and official communications. Prepare meeting notes, correspondence, briefing notes, and other liaison-related documents as required. Maintain accurate records of official communications, meetings, approvals, and stakeholder contacts. Coordinate with program, operations, finance, logistics, and security teams to facilitate smooth project implementation. Support field teams in resolving administrative and coordination challenges with local authorities and communities. Promote positive relationships and the professional image of the organization. Ensure confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive organizational and stakeholder information. Perform other duties related to liaison and coordination as assigned by the supervisor Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in liaison, coordination, administration, government relations, or a similar role, preferably with an NGO or international organization. Good knowledge of local administrative procedures and stakeholder coordination. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds and institutions. Good written and verbal communication skills in relevant local languages and English. Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
