CALL FOR CVs (Subject to Project Approval): Chartered Accountant

Job Summary Key Responsibilities The Chartered Accountant will: Review financial records, statements, reconciliations, and accounting practices. Provide technical advice on accounting, taxation, payroll, and financial reporting. Review donor-funded project expenditures, budget utilization, and cost allocations. Assess internal controls and recommend improvements. Support preparation for external, donor, and statutory audits. Review and advise on tax calculations and statutory compliance. Identify financial risks, irregularities, and control weaknesses and recommend corrective actions. Provide technical guidance and capacity building to Finance staff. Advise management on complex financial and accounting matters. Maintain professional independence, confidentiality, and integrity. Job Requirements Qualifications & Experience Recognized Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification . Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience . Previous experience with NGOs/INGOs and donor-funded projects is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of accounting, auditing, taxation, internal controls, and financial reporting. Good knowledge of Afghan tax and statutory requirements. Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills. High level of professional integrity and confidentiality. 5. Deliverables The CA will provide, as applicable: Financial and compliance review reports. Audit-readiness and audit-support services. Tax and statutory compliance advice. Internal control recommendations. Technical accounting opinions and advisory notes. Periodic/final assignment reports.
