Deputy Branch Manager

Role summary Description The objective of this Term of Reference (TOR) is to Define Deputy Branch Managers Responsibilities and powers in order to segregate branch duties and increase Efficiency. The Deputy Branch manager position main objective will be: 1. Increase the efficiency. 2. Allocate more time for Branch manager for control and supervision. 3. Encourage credit managers by giving them more power and responsibility 4. Create strong backups for branch managers. Duties and responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities 1- To assist the Branch Manager in managing, monitoring, and supervising the branch staff performance, operations, and administration and to make sure that all fixed assets and office supplies are appropriate and secured; 2- To welcome the clients at the branch and respond to their queries, if needed, introducing them to the Financing Officers; 3- To check, monitor, follow up, and validate the financing documents with compulsory supporting and confirm the alignment of all received documents from clients is in place with the OXUS Afghanistan credit procedures; 4- To meet with the new clients of Financing Officers, preparing the initial documents of clients with full due diligence; 5- Follow-up with clients of Financing Officers for any pending and new required documents (e.g. task areas, guarantors, qawalas, photos, fingerprints, etc...) and monitor the client's daily business activity in terms of compliance; 6- To communicate with other units regarding problems arising from clients to get resolved; 7- Follows up regularly the active clients as well as delinquent clients and important clients in collaboration with the Branch Manager; 8- To check vault position at the end of day and manage cash liquidity with the Cashier; 9- To train the branch staff when there is a performance-related problem, and guide them when there is an approach or behavior-related problem; 10- Make sure full compliance with the relevant OXUS Afghanistan policies and procedures, and full alignment with the audit endorsements; 11- Participate as an active member of the branch-level credit committee. 12- Supervise and monitor the work of financing officers, 13- To act as Branch Manager in the absence of the Branch Manager. Job requirements a)University Degree (any country) in Business, Management, Finance/Accounting, Education, similar; b)Minimum (3) years working experience, preferably in the field of finance or for a banking institution c)Strong computer skills including Word, Excel; d)Excellent communication and writing skills; e)Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; f)Able to work independently and in a group, willing to take initiative, and energetic; g)Fluent in Dari, Pashto and English
