Role summary The Entertainment Presenter is responsible for hosting and presenting live and recorded entertainment programs that engage, inform, and entertain audiences. The role requires exceptional on-camera presence, excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to connect with diverse audiences. The presenter serves as the face of the program by introducing segments, interviewing guests, interacting with viewers, and ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality entertainment content in line with the organization's editorial standards and brand identity. Duties and responsibilities Host live and pre-recorded entertainment programs in an engaging, energetic, and professional manner. Present television content confidently while maintaining accuracy, neutrality where required, and a positive on-screen presence. Prepare thoroughly for each program by researching topics, guests, entertainment trends, and current events relevant to the show's format. Collaborate with producers, directors, scriptwriters, and the production team during program planning and execution. Review, edit, and familiarize yourself with scripts, cue cards, and program rundowns prior to recording or live broadcasts. Conduct professional and engaging interviews with celebrities, artists, public figures, performers, and other guests. Lead audience interactions both in-studio and through digital platforms, social media, and live audience participation. Introduce performances, competitions, special segments, promotional content, and commercial breaks smoothly. Improvise confidently during live broadcasts while maintaining professionalism and composure under pressure. Follow production cues and maintain continuous communication with the control room through IFB/earpiece systems. Ensure programs remain on schedule by adapting quickly to timing adjustments or unexpected changes. Promote audience engagement through interactive discussions, games, contests, and entertainment segments. Represent the organization's values, editorial standards, and public image both on and off air. Participate in promotional events, public appearances, media campaigns, and special broadcasts when required. Coordinate with makeup artists, wardrobe staff, and studio personnel to ensure professional presentation. Stay informed about entertainment industry developments, popular culture, music, film, television, and digital media trends. Maintain confidentiality regarding production information and organizational matters. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports as required. Perform any other duties assigned by the Content Manager, Executive Producer, or supervisor. Job requirements Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, Public Relations, Performing Arts, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in television presenting, entertainment broadcasting, media production, or a similar role. Excellent presentation, public speaking, interviewing, and communication skills with a confident on-camera presence. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to live broadcasting environments. Creative, energetic, and audience-focused, with the ability to engage viewers and improvise when required. Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
