Job Summary Conduct surveys and assessments in the communities and provide feedback and suggestions for the strengthening and development of the TLS education program. Create positive relations with communities CDCs, SMC, and DED through regular meetings and discussions for identifying and addressing education needs and issues. Lead community-based mobilization and sensitization meetings, and introduce TLS project activities to project beneficiaries. Support project location and project beneficiaries targeting strategy and criteria. Create plans for establishing School Shuras with community members and elders to monitor and support the CBE activities in the community. Work with the community to identify education needs, and create a work plan, assuring that community members are supporting the education program and School Shura members. Regularly monitoring TLS classes and giving daily, weekly and monthly report to the Provincial Coordinator. Facilitate the establishment of TLS and ensure the registration and integration of students and teachers in the MoE formal system. Establish and maintain productive work relationships and coordinate activities with PED, DED, Hub Schools, and other relevant stakeholders. Ensure transparency in classroom repair/maintenance and material distribution activities in the community and records. Take part in the process of beneficiary identification and registration. Conduct campaigns and trainings for raising awareness about gender, especially for the improvement of female education and their further participation in education. Conduct meetings and trainings for other members of the provincial education team with MoE Provincial Officers, Teachers, and School Shura members to develop their capacity in planning and implementing TLS activities. Develop and maintain a network of external contacts with key individuals in the government, NGO sector, and civil society at the district level. Support feedback mechanism within the project to ensure voices from direct beneficiaries and the wider community are continuously shared, captured, and fed into project activities. Support the child protection staff and community-based committees in case management under the child protection component of the project. Communities aware of project objectives, outputs, activities, MEAL systems and ACDO Child Protection Policies. Facilitate project activities information at all events such as training, workshops and awareness sessions. Provide classroom support for teachers inside the TLS classes. Follow up day-by-day project activities and guide teachers at the field level. Assist joint monitoring visits with the government officials (district relevant authorities) to the project sites. Support implementation of project baseline, mid-term, and final evaluation. Support and advocate school Shuras to fill full their activities and guide them accordingly. Develop project weekly narrative reports and submit them to the Provincial Officer timely. Any other related task as assigned by the Provincial Officer and/or Senior Management Team (SMT). Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Education, Social Science, or any other related field (Master’s degree is preferred) Minimum of 5 years working experience in similar positions in emergency with national and international NGOs. Demonstrated ability to manage complex activities involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated experience in working with government at national and sub-national levels, UN organizations, or any international development or aid agencies. Experience in the relevant or similar positions in humanitarian projects is required. Knowledge of up-to-date trends and best practices in emergency support services. Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills. Experience in community engagement and awareness-raising. Ability to travel frequently to field locations. ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and project beneficiaries. ability to analyze data, identify trends and make informed decisions ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively proficiency in project management tools and software and professional report writing. Ability to work with communities and affect populations in returnees. Sound organizational skills and ability to prioritize and deliver assignments in a timely manner often under severe time pressures Good knowledge and experience in emergency cases and controlling off crowd in project site. Language skills: Advanced Proficiency in English, Dari and Pashto (written and spoken)
