CS Core Engineer

Role summary The CS Core Engineer is primarily responsible for managing the CS Core nodes and services within a telecommunications network environment. Duties and responsibilities · Provide L2 Back Office support for all CS Network Elements. · Responsible for initiation of emergency handling procedure and monitoring the progress. · Escalate capacity shortage to concerned function as per the capacity management process. · Ensuring that all NE’s data back-ups are done and stored as per procedures. · Carrying out Equipment lifeline test and traffic redundancy tests. Load test. · Traffic and subscribers forecasting in the network and identify and carry out expansions. · Network Optimization, Capacity Planning, performance analysis, system tuning and reporting. · Maintain the communication between Core network elements in the Customer Network with relevant NMS. · Perform periodic audit and report status of all installed licenses for NEs within Core network domains. · Responsible for performing functional acceptance for all new network elements. · Ensuring End to End CS Core network Performance Management as per agreed KPI’s. · Excellent Technical presentation. · Ability to work under pressure. · Ability to work within the team and across other domains. · Capable of professionally managing confidential information. OH&S/QMS Role and Responsibilities: Reports any hazards or risks in addition to Accidents/Incident to QHSE department. Be aware of and complies to i engineering’s IMS Policy. Abides by i engineering’s Local Legal and Client Requirements. Attends and engages in IMS Awareness Sessions. Ensures that all IMS procedures are regularly followed and raises the issue when they are not Job requirements · Minimum 2 years of experience. · BSc. in /Electrical/IT, Telecom Engineering/Computer Engineering · Excellent presentation skills. · Must have strong telecom skills and knowledge of common programs such as Microsoft Office.
