Job Summary The …Pharmacy Tech’s responsibilities include: · Manage and oversee the pharmacy and its daily operations. · Dispense medicines according to prescriptions issued by the authorized medical personnel. · Ensure responsibility for the quantity and quality of medicines, including proper storage, daily stock recording, safekeeping, and monitoring of expiry dates. · Arrange and organize medicines alphabetically and ensure cleanliness and proper hygiene of the pharmacy and pharmaceutical products, including injections, oral syrups, and medical supplies. · Dispense medicines strictly according to the prescription without making any changes and in accordance with the instructions of the responsible medical personnel. · Explain to patients the proper method of medicine storage and safety precautions, as well as how to take and use medicines according to the instructions on the prescription. · Prepare powdered oral syrups by adding boiled and cooled water and explain the proper method of use to the patient. · Regularly check the expiry dates of medicines and prioritize the use of medicines that are closest to their expiry date, following the FEFO (First-Expiry, First-Out) principle. · Inform the Clinic In-Charge about medicines that are due to expire at least one month in advance. · Hand over expired medicines to the responsible department in accordance with established procedures. · Maintain and properly file all daily prescriptions in a complete and organized manner. · Maintain and regularly update stock cards completely, including the item name, date, quantity, description, and daily stock balance. · Ensure that patients and unauthorized persons do not enter the pharmacy. · Properly close and lock the pharmacy at the end of working hours. · Participate actively in relevant trainings and capacity-building activities. · Consult and coordinate with doctors regarding doubtful or unclear cases. · Prepare and submit the monthly pharmacy report of the clinic. · Prepare the monthly medicine order accurately and according to the actual requirements of the clinic. · Receive and verify supplied medicines in coordination with the Supervisor and ensure that the delivered items correspond with the relevant documents. Job Requirements Candidates must have the following qualifications: · Graduated from a recognized Pharmacy Technician Institute or Faculty of Pharmacy. Preference will be given to candidates who have graduated from the faculty of Pharmacy. · Priority will be given to qualified candidates who are residents of the local area. · Valid registration/license from the relevant health authority. · Preferably 1–2 years of relevant work experience in Pharmacy services, especially in a hospital or health facility. · Basic computer skills for recording data and preparing reports. · Ability to work effectively under pressure and in resource-limited settings. · Good communication and interpersonal skills. · Fluency in Dari and/or Pashto; knowledge of English · Willingness to work in remote and underserved areas when
