Role summary
The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities at the project site. The role includes implementing approved drawings, monitoring the quality of materials and workmanship, coordinating with engineers, supervisors, and workers, measuring completed work, reporting project progress, resolving technical issues, and ensuring compliance with site safety requirements. The Site Engineer must ensure that all construction activities are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans, technical specifications, and project requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
1. Implementation of Drawings Implement the drawings and plans provided by the construction office. 2. Supervision of Construction Activities Supervise activities such as excavation, concrete works, reinforcement works, and other construction-related activities. 3. Site Work Supervision Monitor and supervise the proper execution of construction work at the project site. 4. Team Coordination Coordinate between design engineers, supervisors, and site workers to ensure the smooth and organized progress of work. 5. Quality Control of Materials and Workmanship Monitor the quality of construction materials and the standard of work performed at the site. 6. Inspection of Construction Materials Inspect materials such as cement, sand, gravel, steel, and other construction materials, and ensure that the work meets the required quality standards. 7. Measurement and Progress Reporting Measure and record completed work and submit progress reports to the Project Manager. 8. Resolving Technical Issues on Site Identify and address technical issues that arise during construction activities. 9. Technical Problem Assessment and Solutions Review technical problems during implementation and propose suitable solutions to ensure the correct execution of the project plans. 10. Compliance with Safety Requirements Monitor compliance with safety procedures at the site to reduce risks and prevent workplace accidents.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field . Minimum of two years of relevant work experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
