Role summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for planning and executing all Warehouse activities at the project site, including Maintain adequate stock levels of transmission line materials and monitor the availability of conductors, towers, insulators, OPGW, hardware fittings, and grounding materials and also it should Prevent material shortages that could delay construction activities and could establish Coordinate closely with procurement and project teams regarding upcoming material requirements.
Duties and responsibilities
Maintain 100% accurate inventory records. Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconciliations. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies immediately. Ensure proper stock rotation and storage practices. Prevent material losses, theft, damage, and misplacement. Supervise receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials and equipment. Control and track project assets such as generators, survey equipment, welding machines, vehicles, and tools. Check all goods received from the main warehouse and abroad, and report quantities to the main office according to the GRN. Expedite orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery to the project site. Coordinate with site engineers, QC, stores, and planning teams for material availability and compliance. Ensure proper storage conditions for conductors, insulators, OPGW cables, and other sensitive materials. Verify all incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and technical specifications. Coordinate closely with the Procurement Head at the main office for approvals, policies, and reporting. Report shortages, damages, or non-conforming materials immediately Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements. Maintain complete and accurate warehouse documentation Ensure all Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Material Issue Vouchers (MIVs), transfer records, and gate passes are properly filed. Attend project coordination meetings when required. Ability to monitor deliveries, inspect received goods, and ensure compliance with POs and specifications. Strong organizational, reporting, and documentation skills. Protecting project materials and assets from loss, damage, and misuse. Ensure adequate manpower, equipment, and storage space are available before trucks arrive. Schedule loading and unloading activities based on delivery and dispatch plans.
Job requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Relevant professional certifications in procurement, supply chain, or contract management. (preferred). Strong understanding of construction materials, project documentation, and estimation techniques. Experience : Minimum 4–6 years of experience in warehouse management, material control, inventory management, and logistics support for power transmission, or infrastructure projects. Technical Skills: Manage receiving, storage, and issuance of materials. Maintain accurate inventory records and stock control. Supervise warehouse staff and daily operations. Coordinate loading and unloading activities Inventory Control. Organizing warehouse layouts for efficient material flow. Maintaining accurate warehouse documentation Ensure materials are stored safely and properly. Monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking. Prepare inventory and warehouse reports. Ensure compliance with safety and company procedures. Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams. Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
