Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Role summary Maintaining and ensuring strict regulatory compliance related to financial reporting in line with the prudential requirements of the central bank and head office. As the country finance manager of our bank, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the financial health of the organization. You will oversee the finance and accounting functions, manage financial risks, and drive the bank’s financial strategy to support growth and profitability. This role requires a deep understanding of banking regulations, financial markets, and strong management skills to guide your team effectively. Job requirements Education and training: · Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is required, and a master’s degree or professional certification (such as CLA/CBA/CPA/CISA/CFE/ACCA/CA) is preferred. An Islamic banking certification is desirable. · The candidate will have to appear before Da Afghanistan Bank for clearance/approval on an annual basis. Experience: · Minimum 5 years relevant managerial experience in the banking sector. · Extensive experience in budgeting, risk management, and assets and liability management. · Progressive accounting & financial analysis experience. · Additional experience in Islamic banking finance will be preferred.
