Mining Geologist

Role summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Geologist to investigate the Earth's composition, analyze geological data, and provide expert recommendations for exploration, construction, and environmental projects. The ideal candidate will have strong fieldwork experience, technical expertise, and excellent problem-solving skills. Duties and responsibilities • Conduct geological field surveys and mapping. • Collect and analyze rock, soil, groundwater, and mineral samples. • Interpret geological, geophysical, and geochemical data. • Prepare geological maps, reports, and technical presentations. • Assess geological hazards and environmental impacts. • Support mineral, oil, gas, and groundwater exploration projects. • Provide recommendations for construction and engineering projects based on geological conditions. • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations. • Use GIS, geological modeling, and data analysis software. •Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and project managers. Job requirements • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field • Experience in geological fieldwork and data analysis. • Knowledge of geological mapping, mineral identification, and stratigraphy. • Proficiency in GIS and geological software (such as ArcGIS, Leapfrog, or RockWorks). • Strong analytical and report-writing skills. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Willingness to travel and work in remote field location.
